Privacy policy

We collect as little as we can: your email when you ask us something or order, and what you tell us about the property. We don’t sell it, and we don’t use advertising trackers.

What we collect, and why

  • Area and report requests. When you ask us to cover an area or to tell you when a project’s report is ready, we keep your email address and the area or project you named. We use them to decide what to research next and to send you that one message.
  • Orders. When you buy a report, we receive your name, email address, phone number and the property you want researched. We use them to research the property, send you the report and handle refunds.
  • Payments. Razorpay processes payments. We don’t see or store your card, UPI or bank details; we receive only confirmation that you paid.
  • Emails you send us. We keep them to answer you and to keep a record of orders and refunds.
  • Your device. If you switch the site to dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser. It isn’t sent to us.
  • Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address and pages requested, to run and secure the site.

We don’t use advertising trackers, and we don’t sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Who processes it for us

  • Vercel hosts the website.
  • Supabase stores area and report requests.
  • Razorpay processes payments.
  • Our email provider sends and receives email.

Each handles data only to provide its service to us. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Requests are kept until the area or report opens and we’ve emailed you, or until you ask us to delete them.
  • Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it or delete it. Delete requests are subject to records we must keep by law. You can also withdraw consent to future emails at any time. Write to support@thecatch.in.

This site is for adults buying property. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
